An Odd Contrast
This article is specifically meant to explore the odd contrast in the minds of people,
who think victims should quit God when abuse is encountered in a church,
yet continue to eagerly flock to other parts of our society, where known sexual abuse occurs regularly.
It is an odd contrast when people focus on a horrible wrong in one area in life, yet ignore the same wrongs in another arena of their lives.
For example, the 2025 Super Bowl, like all other major league sporting events, had child sex-trafficking activities.
For example, the 2025 Super Bowl, like all other major league sporting events, had child sex-trafficking activities.
It's inevitable, yet everyone loves the Super Bowl, eh?
Do an internet search on MLB, NFL, NBA or NHL players arrested for domestic violence or sexual abuse.
I dare you.
And how many people still watch movies, after the Weinstein revelations?
How many women have been able to get a movie role in Hollywood with-OUT having to have sex with someone?
And how many mothers still eagerly enroll their daughters in gymnastics, after the Nassar-Olympic sex-abuse debacle?
Let's focus on these institutions that thrive, though we know that childhood sexual abuse exists in them.
Am I trying to negate the horror of child sexual abuse in church?
Not at all. But the horror toward child sexual abuse should be universal all across the screen, eh?
And I wish ALL abuse against women and children were exposed, completely.
and that no one ever lied about being abused, which is also sexual abuse.

Gymnastics
Larry Nassar, disgraced Olympics Doctor, in different ways, molested over 250 girls,
who he treated for sports-health.
He was convicted in 2017,
yet in 2025, there are more kids in gymnastics programs in the US
than when Nassar was caught and his crimes revealed.
And I have no doubt there are other doctors and trainers still doing these vile things.
And let us understand the possibility that girls who complain may get blacklisted.
How do parents sort this out?

School Teachers
Ronald David Guinto: convicted boy-student-molester.
In 2017, justice struck again, in California,
toward a man considered to be one of California's worst child molesters.
Guinto was convicted on 87 charges against 15 different boys.
Look it up.
In 2022, about 350 K-12 educators were arrested child on child sex abuse charges.
And people still send their kids to school, instead of home-schooling.

Daycare Abuse
Clear statistics on sexual abuse in daycares are far more difficult to find than gun violence.
But here is Mark Mays, the 25-years-old, of Omaha.
A daycare worker convicted of sexually abusing eight toddlers,
23 and 24 month-old children in his care.
Police also found child pornography on his phone;
five instances were recorded inside Omaha daycare centers.

AN ODD CONTRAST
Churches?
So why then, do some people say that churches should all be closed down because of sexual abuse in churches?
It it horrible? Yes, it is, and I believe that church workers will face hotter hell fires that perhaps any other child molester in the world.
But understand that all 'professional' people who harm children will receive harsher eternities because of the public trust placed in them.
