King James Only

" My uncle says that the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible is the only Bible
that can be trusted, since it was the original Bible."
.
Hmm. Consider this:
.
1) The KJV was not the original language of the Bible.
I've read that Early Hebrew, Early Greek and Aramaic are the original tongues of the Bible.
2) If KJV is the only acceptable version, what do folks do - that speak French, German, Italian,
Swahili, Punjab, etc. and so on? Do they have to learn English before they can be saved?
     No.
3) Today's KJV is not the original KJV, and most JKV-ers would have trouble reading the 1611 KJV,
much less be able to lead someone to Christ with it.  (See the photo at left.)
4) I suspect that some KJV-ers...see God as Someone with very tight boundaries.
While we each have our favorite version, any accurate version is useable.
(Perhaps KJV-ers have transferred an extra-fussy aspect of a parent's personality onto God?)
5) I presume that KJV-only also means using the original script and font too.
    .
Example: I don't currently use the New American Standard Version of the Bible,
but if I was shipwrecked on a far-away island with only a New American Standard Bible,
that's what I would read and preach from.
