Bible Contradictions

BIBLE CONTRADICTIONS
"Proverbs 16 and Matthew 10 aren't compatible. What do I do when the Bible disagrees with itself?"
"Proverbs 16: 7 says:
a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law—
36 a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household."
"When the Lord takes pleasure in anyone’s way,
he causes their enemies to make peace with them."
he causes their enemies to make peace with them."
Yet, Matthew 10: 34: says:
"Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth.
I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.
35 For I have come to turn a man against his father,
a daughter against her mother,a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law—
36 a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household."
"How can I read this - without thinking the Old and New Testaments don't get along?"
Point acknowledged, and here is my response:
The Old Testament is God's old contract with the Jews.
The New Testament is God's new contract with all humanity since Jesus rose from the dead.
Same God - Different contracts for different purposes in God's long-range plan.
