Elephant
Let’s deal with the elephant in the room.
Some de-churched adults are simply embarrassed to be associated with Jesus,
To the people embarrassed to be associated with Him, Jesus said in Luke 9:26:
“Whoever is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels.”
and they use their imperfect childhoods or imperfect church folk as an excuse.
These de-churched young adults want to be admired by people
who don’t have Jesus,
who don’t want Jesus,
and won’t accept other people that follow Jesus.
To the people embarrassed to be associated with Him, Jesus said in Luke 9:26:
“Whoever is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels.”
To have Jesus ashamed of you, this is the ultimate, eternal embarrassment.
Jesus is more admirable than any of your friends , coworkers or any leaders in your life.
