God hides from me

'Hide and Seek'
W.H. Knight
“I got tired of trying to understand what God wants from me. Why can't He just tell me?”
Marvelous question, a marvelous question indeed.
I have thought the same thing myself and I have been angry at God about it.
I wish I had on the inside of my left wrist, a small panel with a red LED light and a green LED.
Then whenever I wanted a signal from God, I would ask Him and would get an instant reply.
But then, what if I didn’t want to obey that clear signal; what would happen to me?
It is true that God hides from us. Proverbs 25:2 says,
“It is the glory of God to conceal a matter; to search out a matter is the glory of kings.”
But then, what if I didn’t want to obey that clear signal; what would happen to me?
It is true that God hides from us. Proverbs 25:2 says,
“It is the glory of God to conceal a matter; to search out a matter is the glory of kings.”
See? You are correct. God hides things. Why?
My theory:
Being descendants of Adam and Eve, we have sin natures.
While we have both free wills AND sin natures, we will choose wrongly, and we will sin.
When all the angels were up in Heaven before the Great Rebellion, it seems there were three Chief Angels: Michael, Gabriel and Lucifer.
Lucifer was in charge of the choir that sang to God.
Lucifer grew tired of encouraging worship and praise directly to God. He wanted to be praised and worshiped and adored too.
So, Lucifer convinced a sector of the angel population to rebel against God and try to take over Heaven.
So, Lucifer convinced a sector of the angel population to rebel against God and try to take over Heaven.
They were defeated and thrown out of Heaven.
Lucifer’s name was changed to Satan.
Hell was created to hold Satan and his followers after the Judgment Day, and Hell waits for them.
Hell was created to hold Satan and his followers after the Judgment Day, and Hell waits for them.
Satan is not the Commander of Hell. After his Judgment, for eternity - Satan will be Hell’s chief prisoner.
Scripture says that the unclean spirits occupy 'the heavens' but are not in God's Heaven. These are two different places.
The angels that were loyal to God are still holy and need no Savior, for they have never sinned.
The angels that were loyal to God are still holy and need no Savior, for they have never sinned.
The angels that disobeyed God, became unclean spirits, and are forever unredeemable, because they knew God intimately.
They knew God, yet they rebelled against the Holy Being that created each of them.
Every angel is a created-being with a free will, and God is their creator.
These now-unclean spirits misused their free will and tried to capture the throne of God to place Lucifer there.
They knew God and yet rebelled against God.
They knew God and yet rebelled against God.
This is the reason for their eternal damnation, and is the reason, I believe, that God hides Himself from us,
for if we truly knew Him, then sinned against Him in this world, which is saturated in temptation,
we might become unredeemable.
1 John: 3 "See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!
The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
2 Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known.
But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. 3
All who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure."
And to me, this seems to be why God hides from us
(even though His general will for us today is revealed in the New Testament.)
Because He will not fully reveal Himself until we die and are freed from the corruption of our bodies and this earth.
Then comes our great reset.
This great reset, upon death, will enable us to be who we ought to be, before Christ.
We will no longer subject to the temptations that Lucifer created and spread like a virus.

* Try reading ‘The Screwtape Letters’. I suspect this book by CS Lewis was an inspired piece of writing, giving us an insight
to the working of unclean spirits that show quite clearly their mental capacity and their utter contempt for things of God.
